Complex pinot noir, great food champagne, in large bottle
Vintage 2016 Les Puits blanc de noir magnum (1.5 liter)
The pinot noir grapes for this champagne come from a vineyard called Les Puits in premier cru village Chamery. After spontaneous fermentation the wine rests for about a year on used oak barrels, then second fermentation follows. Degorgement took place in the fall of 2020, by hand: à la volée.
This wine was produced in the cellars of Thomas Perseval. Only in 2020 did Émilien Feneuil get his own wine press.
Red fruit in the aroma, the flavor is full and round, slightly savoury. A dry, quite powerful, complex champagne with nice acidity.
