Historically, Champagne is a region of grandes marques, wine domains buying grapes from growers, to produce champagne with a distinctive house style. Think Ruinart, Louis Roederer, Veuve Clicquot. Over the centuries these maisons, or brands, have conquered the international market and positioned champagne as a celebratory drink that is still loved worldwide today.

In the past decades a lot has happened in Champagne. More and more important are vigneron champagnes, produced by growers who use grapes from their own vineyards. In many cases they like to experiment in their fields and cellars, focusing on terroir, sustainability and attention for the environment.
l'Atelier du Champagnes offers both maison champagnes and vigneron champagnes. With our extensive collection we show how versatile champagne really is: from classic to very modern, very different flavors and styles are brought together. And there is always room for something new. Hence the word atelier.
