Today, Armand de Brignac champagnes are made by 10th and 11th generation champagne farmers Jean-Jacques Cattier and his son Alexandre. Together with a team of 18 people, they make prestige cuvées from Armand de Brignac. Their dream is to make a champagne that unites the very best of the region. The Armand de Brignac brand was invented by the Cattier family. The Cattier family has been growing champagne in the Montagne de Reims region for more than 250 years. The family owns more than 33 hectares of vineyards with some prized crus in Champagne, including Rilly-la-Montagne, Chigny-les-Roses and Ludes. With more than 250 years of wine growing experience, only the best grapes are selected for making champagne. Moreover, every year new areas are sought that produce grapes with an interesting character. This way, only the best of Mother Nature is harvested.

Armand de Brignac champagne bottles are characterized by their unique appearance. In the 1950s, Jean-Jacques' mother, Nelly Catier, read a novel that featured the character M. de Brignac. Nelly Catier thought the name was noble and registered it to use for a new wine. Many years later, Jean-Jacques used the special name again in the production of the wine as a tribute to his mother.
Each bottle of Armand de Brignac has a unique appearance due to the applied metal layer. The metal layer is provided with a pewter label and polished by hand. On average, about 20 bottles are produced per person per hour. That makes the champagne bottles very unique.
