Cristal Champagne is one of the many special champagnes in our range. Sold to enthusiasts worldwide. The exclusive champagne has a distinctive taste that distinguishes it from other types of champagne.
The classic Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne has a beautiful gold color with green accents. On the nose there are delicate aromas of white flowers, roasted almond and candied citrus. The palate is full and creamy, with a refreshing acidity and a long, elegant finish.
The champagne is made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, and matures for six years in the cellars of the Roederer Estate. Cristal Champagne is usually sold in specialty champagne shops and restaurants, and is one of the most expensive champagne brands on the market.
The Louis Roederer Cristal is a truly luxurious horse. The beautiful golden bottle provides an extra festive dimension. This makes it the perfect drink to celebrate a special occasion. The champagne is produced by Louis Roederer on his prestigious Grand Cru vineyards covering more than 240 hectares of land.
Only in exceptionally good harvest years is Cristal produced from grapes that only come from France. Unfortunately extremely scarce. His recent great years include 1996, 1997 and 2002.
Further maturation of the champagne takes place through six years of cellar maturation in the Roederer cellars. The ripening process provides further complexity and depth of flavor. On average, Cristal reaches the market after 6 years through the entire maturing process.
This wine was first bottled in 1876 for Alexander II at the Russian Tsar's Court. Alexander loved the champagne so much that he ordered it by the case. Today, Cristal is one of the most coveted champagnes in the world.
This bottle contains one of the tastiest champagnes in our range and is specially made once every few years. Champagne is best served chilled and should be consumed in a wine glass, not in a flute or a coupe.
