Vintage 2009 Harmonie

The grapes for this vintage champagne come from a vineyard where meunier and pinot noir are planted together on chalky clay soil. Meunier is the first to be picked, followed by pinot noir a few days later. With their indigenous yeast the grape varieties ferment separately, only to be blended towards the end of fermentation. 

A dry, complex champagne that may be at its best with food.
