New cuvée from Lacourte Godbillon with extended ageing sur lie!
Terroirs Epanouis #1
Geraldine and Richard are the champagne makers of Lacourte Godbillon and have one philosophy; "let the terroir express itself. A big Champagne can only come from outstanding grapes."
With this new cuvée, Terroir Épanouis" (fulfilled terroirs), the winemakers definetely follow their philosophy. This is the first edition of late disgorgement, made of 85% pinot noir and 15% chardonnay, based on harvest 2015, 9 months on the lees and finished with reserved wines.
This champagne has spent 6 years on the lees and has a final dosage of 1,5 gr/l, making it an extra brut Champagne.
Terroir Épanouis is fresh and complex. It has some delicious notes of nuts, pastry and caramel. the finish is long and the acidity seductive. Definitely a champagne to try!
