Red wine from Mareuil-sur-Ay.
Camille was Leon Olry-Roederer's wife. After her husband passed away, she ingeniously managed the champagne house between 1932 and 1975. She kept the house financially stable and after World War II was one of the only profitable Champagne House. She also acquired a lot of vineyard lands, mainly in Premier and Grand Crus and raised the quality of the Champagne.
Today, the Roederer family and house wants to give an hommage to this powerful lady. The result; 2 wines were made, one red from Pinot Noir and one white from Chardonnay.
Hommage à Camille Rouge 2019 comes from the single plot Charmont (0,43 hectares).
